There are several restaurants in the Fairlawn/Montrose vicinity (about 7 minutes from the Science Center). Montrose is a shopping complex with close to a dozen hotels and just about every type of restaurant in the mid-west! There are several nearby banks and public transit services in Montrose.

Conference attendees will be on their own for dinner every evening. A continental breakfast will be served at the Comfort Inn Hotel each morning.  Lunch is included with your registration fee and will be served at the Science Center.

We have reserved a block of rooms at the Comfort Inn. When you call the Comfort Inn to reserve your room please choose a room with one king size bed, or two double beds.  No more than four people can room together.  For those who are economizing and staying in a different hotel, we recommend the Super 8 Motel or Motel 6.  Both of these motels are located on the opposite side of the interstate from the Comfort Inn.

To make a reservation at the Comfort Inn (where we have reserved a block of rooms), please call Jim Campbell (330) 666-5050, and ask for the Akron Fossils and Science Center’s group rate. Our group rate is $55.00 per night (Thurs. – Sat.) plus tax.
