Join Our Nifty 50 Club! | | |
What Does Nifty 50 Mean?
Our Nifty 50 Club means 50 monthly contributors giving $50 each month. This equates to, 50 donors x $50 each mos. x 12 mos. = $30,000 increase toward growth! Our monthly sponsorship is dangerously low! In 2008 our $67,000 operating cost left very limited funds to be funneled towards expanding and refining the Science Center. Despite the limited resources, however, our staff was able to build 4 new exhibits and served more customers than ever in our busiest summer yet! Just think what we could accomplish with more funds to funnel towards growth!
With your help we would like to increase our monthly donor support to 50 monthly donors giving $50 a month each. With 50, 50 dollar monthly donors our funding deficit will be solved. The Nifty 50 Club would increase our monthly donor base from providing only 1% of our total funds in 2008 to 31% of our funding base in 2009! The projected $30,000 increase in funds from the Nifty 50 Club will be funneled towards growth!

Do you have items or services that you would like to donate to our Science Center? In 2008 our generous supporters gave a combined total value of over $1000 of needed items. These donations included several boxes of fossils and rocks to be used in the museum and in our science programs!

Items and Services Needed
Volunteer-intern to help enter our fossil collection into a new computer program. Working computer knowledge is required.
Ongoing Needs:
Paper Airplanes Supplies
- Regular copy paper for the paper airplanes (constructed during the tour)
- Staples (i.e. metallic stabilizing bar)
- Scotch Tape (i.e. polypropylene bonding strip)
Museum & Park Maintenance
- Mops and brooms
- Soaps and cleaning agents
- Paint brushes (any size––no brush is too small!)
- Light bulbs (for track spotlights)
- Small push mower
- Leaf blower
- Mulch
- Children’s bikes (ongoing)
- Paint (any kind)
Park Expansion Items Needed
- Picnic Tables
- Split-rail fence
- Indoor carpeting and floor tiles (referrals appreciated as well)
