Why did you go on this canoe trip? What perked your interest?
Nathan

To have fun before school and to have fun with my dad, and to go canoeing.

I wanted the opportunity to take a trip that would challenge me physically and afford me time with my eldest son. Being in a remote wilderness area was also a big plus. The trip was helpful in making me appreciate God’s creation more than I had in the past. The wilderness is a great place to take young men for testing and familial bonding.

My son, Greg, invited me and paid my way. I’ve wanted to do this since I was in the Boy Scouts. During the trip I learned more about how clean and unpolluted the earth must have been at Creation. I looked into the wilderness and saw God’s handiwork and my own sin and inadequacy. It caused me to praise and worship God and Christ. The colors and brilliancy of the stars, the majesty and beauty of the lakes and woods were awe inspiring. How wondrous are the works of God and truly past our understanding. Over all, it was such a rewarding experience and I’m grateful that I had the opportunity to go.
What were your most favorite experiences during the trip?

Yes I would say so. There are many things that people have to prepare themselves for before going on a trip like this such as conditioning. I you are  considering on going on this trip I recommend that you first check your weight and then get in shape.
